Our Reserve Repack service at 406 Paragliding in Belgrade, Montana, includes professional inspection and repacking of round, square and some steerable paragliding reserve parachutes according to manufacturer instructions.

Professional Reserve Maintenance
Proper reserve maintenance requires careful inspection, attention to detail, and adherence to manufacturer-specific procedures. Our approach to paraglider maintenance is supported by professional training and continuing education, including training through the Association of Paragliding Pilots and Instructors (APPI).
What’s Included in Our Reserve Repack Service
- Reserve deployment practice: Local pilots can practice pulling their reserve handle in our suspension simulator.
- Reserve inspection: Hang and air the reserve while inspecting the canopy fabric.
- Line inspection: Examine reserve suspension lines and connections for wear or damage.
- Manufacturer-specific repacking: Fold and repack the reserve according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Rubber bands and bungee replacement: Replace these components as needed.
- Closing bungee inspection: Check and adjust closing bungee tension when applicable.
- Bridle inspection: Inspect bridle connections when the harness is provided.
- Reserve handle pull test: Check the handle and extraction system when the harness is provided.
- Extraction test: Test reserve extraction from the harness when the complete system is provided.
- Written Inspection Report: Provide a written record of the reserve inspection, repacking, and any findings or recommendations.
Turnaround Time
Typical turnaround is approximately 2–3 days, depending on workload and reserve condition.
